Butterly Hour

“You reconnect with nature in the most intimate and powerful way by becoming aware of your breathing, and learning to hold your attention there, this is a healing and deeply empowering thing to do. It brings about a shift in consciousness, from the conceptual world of thought, to the inner realm of unconditioned consciousness.”

Being outside in nature has this incredible ability to impact our overall brain health, behaviour and wellness in such a positive way.

Spending time in nature helps to reduce overwhelming feelings of anxiety and depression, it can support and increase our ability to concentrate and think clearer, boost creativity and encourages connection building. Spending time in nature also has the ability to lower the amount of stress hormone, cortisol, we have in our bodies, ultimately calming our body’s fight or flight responses which often can become heightened after a brain injury.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!

Join The Orange Butterfly community on the last Saturday of every month in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens to spend an hour in nature connecting with others. The hour is yours! Grab a coffee from the cafe, go for a beautiful walk, bring a picnic rug and lay in the sun, play with the kids, or sit amongst the calming environment and take some time for yourself. We have had some very successful Butterfly Hour’s with special guest speakers on the agenda from time to time.

– Florence Williams
